Access 100 is a 3-phase charger with capacities up to 10 kW. The charger can be powered by all commonly existing mains voltages and many of the models are certified to UL and CSA standards for use in the USA and Canada by Underwriters Laboratories.

FUNCTION

The Access charger from Micropower provides you with powerful and energy efficient battery charging. The modern state of the art MOSFET power conversion circuit efficiently and accurately converts AC power to the proper DC power levels required to charge different kinds of industrial batteries.

Every Access charger can be set to perform both conventional charging and various levels of opportunity charging. There are several different charging curves available, such as for ionic mixing and opportunity charging, preprogrammed into every Access charger.

COMMUNICATION

The Access charger is equipped with a radio transceiver that allows the charger to communicate with other chargers, with the Access BMU and Access Service Tool. Using the Access BMU and Access Service tool allows you to gather and organize battery and charging data to help you optimize your battery fleet.

ACCESS CONTROL

The Access charger is easily programmed to perform a variety of functions the way you want them performed. It constantly monitors the condition of the battery and automatically compensates for variations in battery temperature, age of the battery, and the battery’s condition.

BEST BATTERY CHOICE

The Access charger can help you to select the best battery available in the charging room. The selection is made in order to ensure that all batteries are equally used and helps to promote best and coldest battery which has been ready the longest time. You can set up several groups of different battery sizes (V/Ah). This feature is standard in all Access chargers and can be implemented without additional hardware or software.

OTHER FEATURES

– Energy efficient MOSFET design.

– Possibility to add three charge block-out periods to avoid times of peak demand and optimize energy cost if time of day billing are in use.

– Monday morning refresh charging.

– Wireless maximum power. This feature makes it possible to limit total power consumption for a group of chargers.

– Automatically equalizing cycles to ensure maximum lifetime for the battery.

STANDS

Our stands fit all Access, Lion and Sharp chargers. The stands are available in two models, one bench and one floor stand.

AIR PUMP

An alternative to ionic mixing where air bubbles are used to mix the battery acid. The air pump is fully integrated in the charger.

CAN-BUS

The CAN-bus communication makes the charger very versatile and adds the possible to communicate with other systems using CAN-bus, for example Li-Ion batteries.

I/O CARD

I/O cards can be equipped with up to 5 individual relays and can be used to control various functions such as an external LED-indicator, stacking beacon for charger status and remote start.

AUTOMATIC WATER FILLING

The Access charger can be equipped with a solenoid valve which is connected to the batteries water filling system. The system will automatically refill water into the battery when needed.

SAFETY DISCONNECT

All our chargers will automatically start when the battery charger is connected to the battery. Likewise it will automatically stop when the charger is disconnected. This option eliminates the risk of sparks when disconnecting the charger.

ACCESS BMU

The Access BMU (Battery Monitoring Unit) is a very efficient tool for surveillance of your batteries. The BMU is communicating wirelessly both with the Access battery charger and the Access Service Tool.

ACCESS SERVICE TOOL

The Access Service Tool allows you to wirelessly download the complete charging statistics from the last 2000 charging cycles with history, events and 7000 momentary measurements. With the Access Service Tool, you can also program all Access charger and BMU parameters wirelessly from your PC.
